RSW TEP ADVISORY #14: Pedestrian Bridge/Crosswalk Changes Between Terminal and Parking Garage

The Lee County Port Authority is continuing work on terminal roadway improvements as part of the Terminal Expansion Project Phase 2 at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Pedestrian Bridge/Crosswalk 2, which has been out of service, and Crosswalk 6 will open, and Pedestrian Bridge/Crosswalk 5 and Crosswalk 1 will close.

Airport parking is easy – rates include all taxes and fees. No extra charges make using airport parking convenient and economical. You can breeze through our convenient automated credit card/mobile pay only exit lanes from both lots for even faster service.

Both parking lots are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and no reservations are required. Parking at the airport includes free vehicle services as well, including jump starts, help locating your vehicle, tire inflations, etc. We want to make sure you are taken care of and can get on your way promptly!

If you are interested in covered parking and a brief walk to the terminal, park in the Short-term Parking Garage. It is located directly across from the terminal building in the garage with rental car and ground transportation facilities on the ground floor. The second level offers covered parking and third level is open air. The first 20 minutes are FREE.

Accessibility: Upon entering Short-term Parking (garage), please follow standard signage symbols for designated disabled parking spaces located adjacent to elevators and walkways to the terminal. Push-button emergency call boxes are located throughout the parking facilities for immediate assistance.

If you are interested in economy parking at the airport, select the Long-term Parking Lot. This surface lot is located behind the garage and offers door-to-door complimentary shuttle service for passengers and luggage to and from your car to the terminal curb. And the airport will take care of the heavy lifting for you, as customers are not only picked up and dropped off at your car, but the driver will assist you with your luggage.

The surface parking lot is located beyond the garage. Shuttles provide transportation to and from this lot, as well as luggage assistance.

Accessibility: Handicap accessible shuttle buses are available; please notify the parking attendant as you enter the Long-term Parking Lot of your accessibility needs.

You can breeze through our convenient credit-only exit lanes from both the Short- and Long-term Parking Lots for even faster service.

Forms of payment accepted for parking on site at Southwest Florida International Airport are cash, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Extended Stays

To make arrangements to leave your vehicle longer than 60 days, please contact ABM Parking at 239-768-1818. Vehicles left longer than 60 days without prior arrangements are subject to towing at the owner’s expense.

Large Vehicles

RVs, vehicles with trailers and car haulers are not permitted in our parking facilities. One space per vehicle. Violators are subject to towing.

Disabled Veterans (DV) Parking

In accordance with Florida State Statutes section 316.1964, the airport offers free parking for individuals who are disabled veterans meeting at least one the following criteria: (1) Vehicle has a DV license plate; (2) Vehicle is equipped with hand controls, foot controls or a ramp; or (3) Vehicle has a Florida toll exemption permit. Maximum vehicle stay duration is 60 days.
