TSA TRAVEL ADVISORY

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Transportation Security Administration

EFFECTIVE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, TSA IS ADJUSTING THE BAN ON LIQUIDS, AEROSOLS AND GELS

  • Passengers will be permitted to carry travel-size toiletries (3 oz. or less) in ONE, QUART-SIZE, CLEAR PLASTIC, ZIP-TOP BAG through airport security checkpoints. Only one bag of toiletries will be permitted per passenger. The bag must be sealed and its contents must fit comfortably within it.
  • Transportation Security Officers will ask travelers to remove the plastic bag from their carry-on and present it separately for X-ray inspection.
  • Prescription medications in liquid, gel or aerosol form do not need to be placed into a plastic bag, but they must be declared.
  • Travelers will be permitted to bring beverages and other items purchased in the secure boarding area on-board the aircraft.
