Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field are operated by the Lee County Port Authority, under the supervision of a five-member Board of Port Commissioners and a board-appointed Airports Special Management Committee. The Lee County Port Authority is a free-enterprise fund, totally supported by revenue generated from its operations. No ad valorem taxes (property taxes) are utilized in operations or expansion.

Southwest Florida International Airport was built and expanded with funds provided by the Federal Aviation Administration, the Florida Department of Transportation and self-supporting revenue bonds. The airports not only make a positive contribution to the area's economy through its services, but provides jobs for area residents and generates significant revenue for the local economy as well as to the State of Florida.

The Lee County Port Authority's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, provides DBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts and subcontracts financed in whole or in part with or without federal funds pursuant to the FAA's 49 CFR Part 26.

The primary goal of the Lee County Port Authority Procurement Office is to acquire quality supplies and services at the lowest cost. The Port Authority is constantly seeking new sources of supplies and services and welcomes your participation.
